Lucky Me

I know it's a week past St. Pat's day...but I have my reasons....
Hubby is deployed currently and I had sent off his 'March' care package and he's still yet to receive it. I didn't post the card last week, because I was hoping that he'd get the package in time...but since he's still without it, and I know he checks my blog once in a while, I thought I'd give him a glimpse of the card that I sent to him. But, I won't tell him what else is in the box ;)

I love the "Pinch Proof" set and I hope it sticks around for a while. It's very versatile and fun!

I still think that the retired In-Color Wild Wasabi is the best color...besides Kelly green, which we have in our Glorious Green, but when I'm not wanting it to be shocking...the Wild Wasabi calls my name. And of course River Rock goes great with it....hmmmm missing my old colors.

I trimmed the different pieces with Celery Glitter and I used a couple of scallop punches to place behind the sentiment.

Thanks for looking!

Set: Pinch Proof (SU), Leaf (Kodomo)
Accessories: Porcelain Prints DP, Wild Wasabi & River Rock cardstocks, River Rock Ribbon, Celery Glitter, Scallop Circle Punch and Scallop Edge Punch, Wild Wasabi Ink w/sponge, Basic Black Ink, Large Oval Punch

Adorable card! It's been SO hard having my husband on deployment! I've been a super bad wife and haven't sent him a package yet :( There's one in progress though!!!

Very cute card. I agree with the "over shockingness" of some of SU's greens! I hope the new In-Colors have a nicer green in them.

PS: Does your husband call your care packages Pogie Packages?? My BFF's husband was deployed for 2 years and they called packages that.... now they have a puppy they call Pogie!

Super cute card - I'm sure he will love it when it finally gets to him. I remember those days - and that crazy mail. My DH has a very memorable experience with brownies which had grown a lovely fuzzy coating of green by the time they caught up with him!

Wow - how long did it take you to glitter the edges? You did a great job on the card - and I am sure no matter when your hubby gets the parcel he will be pleased.

Very sweet card. I like the trimmings. If I had some River Rock I'd send it to you . . . I feel the same way about Cool Caribbean . . . I have three packages left. (can we all say 'hoarder?')

I bet your hubby will SO love this! Both being able to take a sneaky-peeky at it right now, and when he actually holds it in his hands! What a fantastic card! I love the dimension of it and the layering - you're really able to tie in different patterns and feels within a color scheme. Fabulous!
